On Monday 20th of January, AERO participated in a tutorial at HIPEAC’25 on GPU programming for safety-critical systems via using Khronos APIs.
Victor Perez from Codeplay, presented the latest advancements in Khronos SC APIs, and highlighted the developments performed also in our project.

On Wednesday 22nd of January, AERO co-organized a clustering workshop along with other sister projects funded under the same call (RISER, OpenCUBE, and Vitamin-V) and other EU-funded projects (eProcessor and METASAT). The CompContinuum workshop took place at HIPEAC’25 in Barcelona.
Thanos Stratikopoulos from UNIMAN, gave an overview of our project along with all recent updates with special focus on the AERO open-source software components that will unlock hardware acceleration for the emerging EPI processor designs. Additionally, Michalis Papadimitriou from UNIMAN explained the AERO software solutions in the EU project’s poster session of HIPEAC.
