On Friday 19th of January, AERO hosted at HIPEAC a clustering workshop along with other sister projects funded under the same call (RISER, OpenCUBE, and Vitamin-V) and other EU-funded projects (Nebulous and SYCLOPS). Juan Fumero from UNIMAN, gave an overview of our project along with all recent updates with special focus on the AERO open-source software components that will unlock hardware acceleration for the emerging EPI processor designs. ...
Juan Fumero and Orion Papadakis from the University of Manchester presented their research works in the 20th international conference of MPLR and VMIL. Both events are co-hosted with the ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications: Software for Humanity (SPLASH) which is hosted in Cascais, Portugal. All papers are available as open access and preprint versions exist in Zenodo:
Foivos Zakkak from Red Hat and Polyvios Pratikakis from FORTH presented at FOSSCOMM’23 about AERO. In particular, they focused on how our open-source software ecosystem aims to not only improve the efficiency of the EPI hardware but also accelerate and ease the processor’s integration into the cloud. They also discussed why open-source is the right choice for this and how it can help achieve faster adoption. Program: https://pretalx.fosscomm.gr/fosscomm-2023/talk/CRSBAF/
