Thanos Stratikopoulos from the University of Manchester presented at DevoxxBE the latest updates on TornadoVM. TornadoVM is an open-source technology that is brought in by AERO to make Java applications running on heterogeneous hardware accelerators in a programmer friendly way.
This presentation described the programming model of TornadoVM and gave guidelines to developers for how to approach the transition of Java code bases to TornadoVM compatible versions that can run on multi-core CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs. One Java API to run on all devices! Stay tuned for more!
Additionally, Red Hat, one of our partners, had a booth in Devoxx and presented the latest features of Quarkus, a technology of AERO for deployment of cloud-native microservices.
